Biography

Kenneth Patchen (1911-72) was the author of more than forty books of poetry and prose; a prolific creator of paintings, drawings, and silk-screen prints; and a pioneer of the poetry-and-jazz movement. His use of typography and glyphs prefigured contemporary experiments merging pictures and texts.
